3 Days in the Garden of England

Canoeing & Hiking in Kent, England

This is a 2 Night, 3 Day trip where we spend a long week-end (or a mid-week break) exploring the trails and rivers of the County of Kent in S.E. England. The tour can now be extended to 3 Nights and 4 Days if required.

This trip explores the south eastern corner of England in the County of Kent: often known as the Garden of England.

Over the trip we will canoe on the River Stour, outside Canterbury and on the Medway.

In addition we will also hike a couple of trails in the area: in particular a section of the Pilgrim’s Way (famous from Chaucer, and also known as the North Downs Way) and also a section of the Kent coast trail where we will stride over the White Cliffs of Dover overlooking the channel.

We have now re-designed this trip as a  series of 8 half-days, which we can arrange in any order to suit. So we have 4 1/2 day paddles on the Stour, the Medway, the Rother and the Military Canal and four 1/2 day walks on the Pilgrims Way, the White Cliffs of Dover, the Saxon Shoreway and a Canterbury City explore.

Full trip details are here. the Brochure is here (but it is currently being updated).

The tour has no fixed dates so if you are a party of at least 4 people we can arrange the tour to suit your requirements.
